The Beginning – Volunteer Traditions started when a couple of grad students were sitting at a tailgate and realized they needed a better way to show pride for where they were from. The following spring, in 2006, while killing time between football seasons, we set out to make our dream a reality, starting with making quality products showcasing pride for Tennessee. Since the company originated in what is known as the Volunteer State, much like South Carolina is known as the Palmetto State and Texas as the Lone Star State, calling the company Volunteer Traditions was an easy choice and we haven’t looked back since.
Expansion – Six years later, we’re still producing quality products that people are proud to wear because they are passionate about their state. Over the past couple of years, we’ve set up shop in Nashville and have expanded throughout the South. Developing a brand that could take the goodwill of what we had already made in Tennessee and moving across the south, we created the Heritage Line to capture the same pride from Virginia to Texas. So, whether you’ve lived there all your life, spent your college days there, or simply enjoy showing your pride in a simple and classic way, we’re sure that when you wear a Volunteer Traditions or Heritage Line product, it will live up to the pride you have in the state you choose to represent.
Today - While we’ve grown over the past six years, Volunteer Traditions is still considered a small company with a handful of employees who work together to do everything from marketing to boxing orders, staying true to the classic American business way. We do our best to make great products and match it with great customer service. When you email or call us, you won’t be talking to some random person at a call center, but to someone in our office who has a part in fulfilling the order you place. We appreciate your support as it helps us continue to grow and make more great products for years to come.
